FORESTRY MULCHING
Beaver Mulching uses a single machine to undertake your forestry mulching. It will make short work of your trees, brush & stumps by mulching the material back into the ground. By spreading the material as evenly as possible it helps impede initial re-growth, prevent erosion and replenish the topsoil base.
Forestry mulching services include:
-
Wildfire management
-
Vegetation management
-
Pipeline/Powerline
-
Invasive species control
-
Wildlife restoration
Mulching prevents erosion by leaving the soil structure in place and limiting disturbance to soils. The mulched materials act as an erosion barrier and return nutrients back to the soil. Unlike other clearing methods mulching reduces the need for burning or scarring of the land. Most importantly it is better for the land, faster and more cost-effective.

INVASIVE SPECIES CONTROL
Mulching using a dedicated machine is an effective way of managing invasive species. From Gorse to Wilding Pines, Beaver Mulching offers a fast and effective solution to help eradicate these Invasive weeds.
As wilding conifers overwhelm our native landscapes, they kill our native plants and evict our native animals. They also have a huge impact on our economy. They suck valuable water out of catchments, they add big costs to farming and they impact on tourism and recreational opportunities. DOC estimates that 20% of New Zealand will be invaded by wilding conifer forests within 20 years without rapid action. Wilding conifers currently cover more than 1.8 million ha of land and are spreading at an estimated rate of 5% a year.
Management of invasive species can be a labour-intensive process, and often uses poisons and spraying. A single machine, like the PT300, can reduce the labour and cost to landowners and offer an effective solution to eradicating invasive species and inhibit regrowth
We are flexible and can work with you to ensure your needs are met in the most efficient and responsible way possible. Beaver Mulching – leaving a positive impact on the land and a positive experience for our clients.
